Dr. Ruwanthi Campano is a Board Certified Physician and a known specialist for ear, nose and throat conditions. She offers extensive treatments and surgeries. Dr. Campano is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Her clinic offers both invasive and minimally invasive surgery procedures to help patients look and feel their best, by treating and eliminating problem areas of concern. Ruwanthi Campano, M.D., is known expert in all medical aspects and treatments of otorhinolaryngology. She offers snoring treatments, such as the Pillar Implant, ear surgeries and treatments for both simple and complicated ear infections, sinus surgery and allergy treatment, voice disorders, hearing loss and balance disorders. Dr. Campano is also a local expert in thyroid and parathyroid surgery. She also treats cancers of the head and neck, including: thyroid cancer, salivary gland tumors, and extensive skin cancers.
Ruwanthi Campano, M.D. grew up on the East Coast, where she graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson, MD . Dr. Campano then moved to the West Coast in 1997. She lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for eight years and pursued her passion for medicine. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Campano spent time in general surgery, with an internship at U.C. Davis, East Bay. After, she completed a residency in otorhinolaryngology for head and neck surgery at Kaiser Permanente. This was the final step to her extensive training. She won three consecutive awards at the annual Bay Area Resident's Research Symposium for research projects, which gained her wide respect and recognition among peers and professionals.
Dr. Campano completed her chief residency and then worked for Kaiser Permanente as a member of the Department of Head and Neck Surgery in San Francisco, where she helped train residents in surgery. She became board-certified in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2003.
Dr. Campano lives and works in the Antelope Valley and because she is local, she is easily accessible to her patients. Dr. Campano also has privileges at both local hospitals and at several surgery centers in the Antelope Valley. She performs surgery in locations where board certified M.D. anesthesiologists work with her to ensure the safety of her patients.
Dr. Campano has three practice locations, the main office is located in Lancaster, CA. Satellite locations are in the towns of Ridgecrest. In addition she had been a featured writer for the past five years for the "Living Healthy" section of the newspaper, the Daily Independent. She also writes for the "Golden Poppy" magazine. In addition Dr. Campano is married to Angelo Campano, a successful attorney who specializes in litigation, both civil and criminal. Together, they are actively involved in civic and charitable organizations, both in the Antelope Valley as well as in Los Angeles.
