Dr. Leonard Gray is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery and General Surgery, and he is a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery as well as the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Gray specializes in many of the most advanced cosmetic plastic surgery procedures of the face, breasts and body, such as: breast augmentation, liposuction, Smartlipo™ body contouring, rhinoplasty, face lifts, eyelid surgery, tummy tucks, and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures as well. The results of his aesthetic surgical artistry are beautiful and natural. He is well-known and respected by his medical peers and patients, alike, and he is an active member of the California Medical Association, the San Francisco Medical Society, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

Dr. Gray earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and Master of Arts degree in Immunology at the University of California, Berkeley completing his undergraduate studies with honors. He then attended the University of California, Los Angeles Medical School, receiving, upon graduation the prestigious and highly coveted AOA Research Award; one of only five medical students in the nation to receive this distinction. He trained in surgery at Harvard in what is now the Deaconess/ Beth Israel hospital system, and was the Chief Resident of the Harvard Deaconess Surgical Service in 1988-1989. He completed fellowships in Plastic Surgery as well as Hand and Microsurgery in San Francisco. Dr. Gray was privileged and honored to be accepted for the Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship under Professor Harry Buncke, acknowledged in the medical community as the "Father of Microsurgery", and completed this in 1990. He was the Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery In 1993 - 1994.
