Educational Background

Dr. Kang graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 1980. He received his undergraduate education at Columbia College where he received a BA in Biology in 1984. He was accepted to Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he received a MD with "Distinction in Research" in 1988. He received his General Surgery internship at Beth Israel Medical Center followed by his Otolaryngology, Facial, Head and Neck Surgery residency training at SUNY, Buffalo, which he completed in 1993. He then pursued a prestigious fellowship in the field of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Dyer Facial Plastic Center and Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, one of only about thirty fellowships approved by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the entire country. There he dedicated the entire year learning from a renowned Facial Plastic Surgeon and a mentor, Dr. Wallace K. Dyer.
