About David Shafer, M.D.

Dr. David Shafer is double Board Certified and has received special training and a fellowship with the Mayo Clinic. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Shafer specializes in full body contouring and area laser sculpture, and performs various liposuction techniques ranging from traditional and tumescent liposuction to SmartLipo™ and laser assisted lipolysis.

Dr. David Shafer is trained in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery. However, he specializes in aesthetic surgery. He established Shafer Plastic Surgery in Manhattan with one specific goal - to break down the traditional doctor-patient barrier and create an environment where patients feel comfortable and relaxed.
