Dr. Thomas Su, M.D., a son of Chinese immigrants, grew up near New Orleans, Louisanna. From an early age he had an interest in art and pursued this throughout high school and college. His specialty was drawing and sculpture involving facial and figurative subjects. He earned a B.A. in Fine Arts from Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he also satisfied his pre-med requirements. Dr. Su then completed medical school at the University of Texas in San Antonio and residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and practiced with Morton Plant Mease Primary Care for eight years in New Port Richey. In 2005, he decided to change career directions into aesthetic medicine and has since completed training with some of the best aesthetic physicians in this country, including Dr. Richard LeConey (Institute of Anti-Aging, Houston, TX) and Dr. Norman Cohen (The Vein Clinic, Jacksonville, FL).
Dr. Su’s unique background of art and medicine has made him an extremely well-rounded and effective aesthetic physician. Being an internist, he has extensive experience treating all types of medical problems, including most skin disorders, as well as performing some minor surgeries. This combination of medical skills and strong artistic talent has enabled him to quickly become one of the most skilled physicians performing injectable facial fillers in the local area. In his medical practice, Dr. Su was known for the extra time and effort he gave his patients and he now brings this quality to his aesthetic practice. Dr. Su thoroughly enjoys his work and takes personal pride in achieving the best results for each individual.
